Restaurant Rebranding

The Process:

In this assignment, we had to choose a restaurant who's current branding was not, shall we say, pleasing to the eye and then to create a new logo and implement it on various collateral such as business cards and signs.I chose Las Lomas Mexican Restaurant, with locations in Houston and Spring, Texas. Their original logo was a man in a sombrero and serape sitting with his head down. This is a very much over-
used image, and I wanted to give the restaurant a more elegant feel. After researching both the restaurant and the city of Los Lomas, I discovered that the restaurant is quite popular and was named after the city, which is known for it's elegant mansions and the growing of the blue agave cactus, which is used for the making of tequila.

Since the city is known for elegance and the blue agave, I decided that their logo should reflect it's name sake and created
a vector of the blue agave in Adobe Illustrator.

Business Cards:

I applied the new logo and color pallet to a new business, front and back. For their name, I use a decorative font and
something more simple for their two locations and website.

Location Signage

This is a mock up of what the sign outside of each location could look like. I used
Illustrator for creating the sign and placing the logo.

Billboard

And finally, I used Photo Shop and Adobe Illustrator to show what a billboard might
look like. Maybe add in their phone number or web address.
